Fisherman Aesthetic: The 2025 trend of the year?

Dear Fishermen, 

    Apparently in the new year we’re all going fishing! The biggest style trend prediction of 2025 is ‘fishermen aesthetic'… I can’t really say I can 100% stand behind that, however if you look at any 90s J Crew ads, they embody this trend quite a bit and that I can get behind.

Here are some examples.

The premise of this trend really is just costal & nautical, think Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, or anything Nautica. Emma Chamberlain has been sort of leaning towards this style as well, so if you’re needing some more inspo she would be a good person to look to. 

How you can incorporate this trend

Stripes

Something we probably all have in our wardrobe, but here is a good option if you’re in need.

Cable knit sweaters

This is always a classic & a Rory Gilmore original.

Navy Blue

Navy blue is a prominent color with this trend. Here’s another cable knit sweaters, but in navy blue.

Overalls

Another 90’s classic that can come in handy.

Red Hunter Boots

These I love! I think these are a staple in anyone’s wardrobe, in any color, but also embody this trend very well.

So while it is possible that this trend isn't so horrible, I'm just not sure how I could get over the fishy feeling that this one will come in hard & fast and leave in the same fashion.
